Online Course
The participants will learn the OG approach to teach beginning reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling. The OG approach is a direct, explicit, structured, systematic, cumulative and multi-sensory method that includes supportive error correction and analysis to drive instruction. Participants will create lesson plans to implement with students during the supervised practicum. This course and an additional 100 hours of practicum are required to enroll in the Intermediate course. Participants must attend all sessions. Course materials are included. Adult Early Registration is $1,000.00. Early registration ends December 21, 2021. Standard registration is $1,100.00 beginning December 22, 2021. Limited need-based scholarships are available for adults. For need-based scholarship consideration, fill out the registration form below and select Request Scholarship. There is a $350 base price required. The scholarship application deadline is 12/21/21 Applicants will be notified by 12/30/21. Applicants can accept or reject their offer by 1/3/22. Any remaining balance is due 1/6/22.
