Our Introduction course is being offered from September 20- December 4, 2025. The class will meet on 7 Saturdays in addition to Monday and Thursday evenings (See specific dates below). All sessions are online.
The participants will learn the OG approach to teach beginning reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling. The OG approach is a direct, explicit, structured, systematic, cumulative and multi-sensory method that includes supportive error correction and analysis to drive instruction. Participants will create lesson plans to implement with students during the supervised practicum. This course and an additional 100 hours of practicum are required to enroll in the Intermediate course. Participants must attend all sessions.
Participants are responsible for ordering their own course materials – a list of required materials will be provided upon registration.
This is an online course, so participants must have a strong internet connection at home as well as a laptop or desktop computer with a camera enabled.
Registration fee is $1,200.00. A $350 cancellation fee will apply if your registration is cancelled after September 1st. Refunds will not be issued once class begins.
