Adult Early Learner Course with no prior OGMN experience
Before a student is ready to print, they need prerequisite skills including alphabet knowledge, phonological and phonemic awareness, rapid-automatic-naming, and fine motor skills. Knowing how to recognize the developmental subskills of the earlier learner is a critical aspect of any teacher’s skills. This class is appropriate for teachers who work with the earliest of learners as well as with older students who remain in Ehri’s pre-alphabetic phase. This essential class includes lectures, lesson plan writing, and an age-appropriate practicum. Skills gained will directly apply to students. The CEUs earned can be used as continuing education credit for OG-CT requirements.
Participants are responsible for ordering their own course materials – a list of required materials will be provided upon registration.
Participants must attend all required sessions.
