The participants will learn the OG approach to teach beginning reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling. The OG approach is a direct, explicit, structured, systematic, cumulative and multi-sensory method that includes supportive error correction and analysis to drive instruction. Participants will create lesson plans to implement with students during the supervised practicum. This course and an additional 100 hours of practicum are required to enroll in the Intermediate course. Participants must attend all sessions.
Participants are responsible for ordering their own course materials – a list of required materials will be provided upon registration.
Adult Early Registration is $1,000.00. Early registration ends February 14, 2022. Standard registration is $1,100.00 beginning February 15, 2022.
Limited need-based scholarships are available for adults. For need-based scholarship consideration, fill out the registration form below and select Request Scholarship. There is a minimum $350 base price required. The scholarship application deadline is 2/14/22 Applicants will be notified by 2/18/22. Applicants can accept or reject their offer by 2/24/22. Any remaining balance is due 2/26/22.
