Adult Introduction Course – Summer 2026

Online Course

Our Summer Introduction course is being offered from July 10 – July 24, 2026 with no class on Friday, July 17.

The participants will learn the OG approach to teach beginning reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, and spelling.  The OG approach is a direct, explicit, structured, systematic, cumulative and multi-sensory method that includes supportive error correction and analysis to drive instruction. Participants will create lesson plans to implement with students during the supervised practicum. This course and an additional 100 hours of practicum are required to enroll in the Intermediate course. Participants must attend all sessions.

Participants are responsible for ordering their own course materials – a list of required materials will be provided upon registration.

In all OGMN Courses, each participant is required to work with two students.  For the Introductory course, the participant will bring one student with them; OGMN will provide the second student. The student that the participants bring may be tutored either in person or online. You will receive an email after registration with more details.

Adult Early Registration is $1,200.00. Early registration ends April 15, 2026. Standard registration is $1,300.00 beginning April 16, 2026. Payment is due at time of registration.

This is an online course, so participants must have a strong internet connection at home as well as a laptop or desktop computer with a camera enabled.
